These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, dashboard, and services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Fast Search API ("we", "us", or "our"). By registering for, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

2. Services

We provide identity verification and data lookup services, including but not limited to NIN verification, BVN search, slip recovery, personalisation services, and related tools, accessed via wallet-funded requests. Service availability and results depend on the underlying data sources and may change without notice.

3. Third-Party Data Access

Fast Search API is not a direct licensee of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) or any other government agency. We access identity verification and data lookup services through licensed third-party API providers, via channels they have approved for this purpose.

Accuracy, availability, and turnaround time for any given lookup depend on these third-party providers and the underlying government systems, which are outside our direct control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to any third-party data source.

4. Fees, Billing & Wallet

Charges for the Services are payable in advance via your wallet balance, which you may fund through the payment methods made available on the platform. You authorise us to debit applicable fees from your wallet for each request. Fees already deducted for a completed request are non-refundable, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise (for example, where a request fails due to an error on our part).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to: (a) violate any law or regulation; (b) submit identity information that does not belong to you or that you are not authorised to look up; (c) send spam or unsolicited communications through the platform; (d) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the system; (e) resell the Services without our written authorisation; or (f) interfere with the platform's normal operation. We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of this section.

6. Identity Verification & Data Use

Where a Service requires you to submit identity information (such as a NIN, BVN, or supporting documents) — whether your own or, where permitted, a third party's for a lawful purpose — you warrant that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to submit it, and you consent to its verification through our third-party providers as described in Section 3.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Services available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Services may be unavailable during maintenance, upgrades, network faults, or events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at our third-party data providers.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws. By using the Services, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your data as necessary to deliver the Services.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software provided through the Services are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose only.

10. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, where required by law, or to protect the platform or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services, including losses caused by delays, errors, or unavailability at our third-party data providers. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific request giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services or your breach of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
